STRENGTHENING LUNG CANCER MANAGEMENT IN CENTRAL ASIA AND THE CAUCASUS: BUILDING A REGIONAL NETWORK FOR EQUITABLE CANCER CARE
Приветственное слово
Dear Colleagues and Friends,
On behalf of the Kazakhstan Cancer Society (KazCS), I am pleased to welcome you to the online scientific symposium “Strengthening Lung Cancer Management in Central Asia and the Caucasus: Building a Regional Network for Equitable Cancer Care,” taking place on 2 November 2026 as part of London Global Cancer Week 2026.
Lung cancer remains a major public health challenge across our region. Advances in screening, molecular diagnostics and modern treatment offer opportunities to improve outcomes. Ensuring that these advances reach patients equitably requires coordinated efforts in clinical care, education, research and health policy.
Our symposium brings together colleagues from Central Asia and the Caucasus to exchange experience and discuss practical approaches to prevention, early detection, precision oncology and access to innovative therapies. We will also explore opportunities to establish a regional network that supports collaboration and shared priorities in lung cancer care.
I thank our speakers, participants and the London Global Cancer Week organisers for their contributions and support. I look forward to a productive discussion and lasting partnerships that will benefit patients throughout our region.
